With a unique voice and an easy charm, Peyton Parker knew what she wanted to be at a young age and is quickly establishing herself as a rising pop country singer/songwriter.
Peyton calls her lyrics “conversational” and describes her music much like she describes herself - “pop country with some sparkle”. She says her music doesn’t fit in one tidy box - a reflection of her diverse influences - from Nirvana, The Beatles and Patsy Cline to The Civil Wars, Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato.
This translates to performances that appeal to many different genres. Her stage show ranges from soft and haunting to boisterous and energetic - giving her audience exactly what they want.
Peyton’s friends and associates will tell you she is shy and reserved off-stage. They’ll say there’s a transformation beyond hair and makeup at her shows. The lights hit her and she shines. Combine that amazing stage presence with her skilled vocals and you’re in for quite a show.
Peyton was born in Atlanta and raised in Kennesaw, Ga., Peyton spent much of her early years devoted to elite level competitive cheerleading. She played violin in her middle school orchestra. When an ankle injury requiring two surgeries ended her aspirations of cheerleading in college, Peyton picked up a guitar. She taught herself to play using YouTube videos and was hooked. A few weeks later she wrote her first songs and began playing out at local restaurants and bars.
The last year has been a whirlwind. From a pizza joint in Atlanta, to the ears of a producer in Nashville, to hanging out with country music superstars talking about life and career and performing on a huge stage at the NAMM show in LA - Peyton continues to hone her musical style.
Outside of music, Peyton enjoys spending time with her family and her Boston Terriers, Rae and Hank. She loves fashion and can frequently be found hunting Nashville boutiques for bargains. She believes in giving back and is often involved in charity projects. Her parents, John and April, are incredibly proud and supportive of her music career.
Peyton performs at venues throughout the southeast and has opened for Walker Hayes, Jana Kramer and Parmalee. Peyton Parker’s star is rising. Come along for the ride!
